Every number here comes from our community consensus research: 80 forum-research briefs covering 1,486 threads across 209 subreddits, with each product mention coded as positive, negative, mixed, or neutral. We don't run clinical trials and we don't rank by our own opinion — the receipts on each card are the dataset speaking.
The rules, verbatim: for each slot we keep products with at least one positive coded mention and non-negative overall sentiment, score them by mentions for your selected conditions, and tie-break on net sentiment, then total mentions. If nothing speaks to your picks, we show the floor-passing product with the strongest overall sentiment, labelled as an all-rounder. If nothing clears the floor at all, we say so instead of picking.
What's excluded: five hydroxyapatite toothpastes stay out under our standing editorial rule (we cover the category's scope but reserve product-level sentiment), five denture products don't map to these seven conditions, and one oil-pulling product has no coded sentiment. Exclusions are policy, not oversights.
Prices are what we saw on each product's linked retailer page — Amazon for every product except the TePe pack, which links to and is priced from TePe's US store — on July 20, 2026 or later, shown as "about" figures — the live price at the linked retailer wins. The shelf total is rounded, mixes retailers, excludes shipping, and is a one-time cost if you bought everything at once; we don't estimate monthly costs because we have no consumption data, and we won't invent it.
The same scorer, one condition at a time — condition-specific picks only (all-rounder fallbacks omitted). Mention counts are coded mentions for that condition.
No product clears the condition-specific bar yet — the community discussion here is thinner. The builder above falls back to all-rounders and says so.
